Hostelworld is our go to platform for researching and booking hostels. It's similar to hotel booking platforms, but as there are many backpackers out there that use Hostelworld, their reviews are a great indicator of things to look out for from a budget traveller's perspective. It can also give you a good indication of a hostel's atmosphere and activities they offer.

Most hotel booking platforms, such as Booking, have also started to list hostels on their sites, so if you want to use more platform than one, just make sure to set the search filter to only show hostels.
